The D-Link DES-1018MPV2 18-Port Fast Ethernet PoE Switches with 2 Gigabit Combo Uplink Ports enables users to easily connect and supply power to PoE-capable devices such as wireless access points (APs), network cameras and IP phones. It can also connect other Ethernet devices like computers, printers and network-attached storage (NAS) to fit into any type of network application. The DES-1018MPV2 features 16 ports that support the IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE protocol. Each of the PoE ports can supply up to 30 watts, with a total PoE budget of 247 watts, allowing users to attach PoE compliant devices to the DES-1018MPV2 without requiring additional power. The DES-1018MPV2 includes 2 DIP switches enabling either Extend Mode or Isolate Mode. Extend Mode extends the reach of ports 9-16 up to 250m for longer reach applications and Isolate Mode isolates each port from each other, only allowing communication with the uplink ports.
